Our Mission Statement: Through the granting of scholarships and awards, we inspire, encourage and support Stamford students in their pursuit of college, graduate and vocational education.

Juan was one of the first recipients of the Joseph W. Nunn Scholarship Foundation back in 2007, when he was getting ready to complete his senior year at Westhill High School. Juan is originally from Colombia and moved to Stamford, CT in 2001 with his family. Throughout his high school years he demonstrated academic excellence, many leadership skills and was actively involved in the community. After high school, he completed an Associate’s degree at Norwalk Community College with a 4.0 GPA and received numerous scholarships to continue with his education at the University of Connecticut. Juan attended classes at both, the Stamford and Storrs campuses, and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Finance in December 2011, again with a 4.0 GPA. After graduating college, Juan received a full time employment at the Royal Bank of Scotland as an Analyst in their Markets and International Banking division. In April 2015 Juan transitioned to become an Associate at Mizuho Bank (USA) in their Corporate and Investment Banking division.
